The African Foundation of Environmental Ethics is another project we have started. This was motivated by the weak foundations of environmental ethics. The current environmental ethics have evidently and largely failed to prevent environmental degradation, exploitation of natural resources, depletion of the ozone layer, and unreliable weather seasons.
Based on these concerns, we seek to find out some of the reasons leading to these persisting environmental issues. As a result, we shall adopt various approaches which will prove useful in addressing the particular environmental and ethical issue.
At the same time, the contextual model of ethics and environment assists in establishing the root causes of the challenges emanating from our surroundings by using best the available resources. At this juncture, we will rely on the research we did in the Northern part of the United Republic of Tanzania guided by the ethical dimension of the African community. In that context, without excluding other foundations of environmental ethics, we promote the means that strengthen African foundations.
The result has been of great significance. This is testified by the various services we are now offering which have even led to the initiation of this site and its various activities.
